Introduction to Barrie Trower
Barrie Trower, now retired, is a former military microwave weapons expert and EM Radiation Research Trust advisor. He served as a Royal Navy specialist trained in microwave warfare and holds degrees in physics and human physiology. Drawing on his extensive experience with microwave technologies and their biological effects, Barrie has become a leading voice on the health risks of electromagnetic radiation. He authored the UK Police Federation’s TETRA report and has provided expert insight into how microwave radiation may impact human health.
In his 2022 brief paper, Trower issues a clear warning: public health must be prioritised amidst the ubiquitous presence of mobile phones. The paper is both eye-opening and deeply concerning. It explores how mobile phone radiation may affect the brain particularly regions linked to addiction and behaviour and highlights the increased risks for children.
For anyone concerned about health in today’s wireless world, it’s well worth a read.
To strengthen his argument, Trower references articles from Scientific American and National Geographic, underscoring the particular susceptibility of children to electromagnetic radiation and the urgent need for precautionary measures to protect young populations.
It serves as a timely call to action for policymakers and researchers to address these growing concerns.
