New Study: Addictive Screen Use in Children Linked to Suicide Risk EMF Exposure Adds to the Harm ⚠️
A major new study published in JAMA has found that children who become emotionally dependent on screens particularly mobile phones and social media are 2 to 3 times more likely to experience suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
Crucially, it’s not just screen time that matters, but the quality of use and emotional attachment to devices.
But there’s more. As this article from The Defender reveals, electromagnetic radiation (EMR) from wireless devices adds another layer of danger. Miriam Eckenfels of Children’s Health Defense warns that EMR exposure is compounding the psychological damage and contributing to aggression, distress, sleep disruption, and neurological changes in young people.
“And while people can regulate their screen time on devices, they are involuntarily exposed to EMR due to the reckless expansion of cell towers in U.S. neighborhoods.” Eckenfels said.
With suicide now the 5th leading cause of death in U.S. preteens, the need to act is urgent. Families must be informed. Policymakers must respond. And we must all push back against the unchecked spread of wireless tech into children’s lives.
