Exclusive: Woman Living Near Cell Tower Diagnosed With 51 Strokes

Marcia Haller’s life changed forever in 2019, when a cell tower just 900 feet from her home in Duluth, Minnesota, was “upgraded.” Suddenly, Marcia was hit with debilitating health effects from the radiofrequency (RF) radiation emitted by the tower. Since then, she has suffered 51 strokes, vision and hearing loss, chronic fatigue, cognitive impairment, and ongoing balance and mobility challenges.

With support from Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) Electromagnetic Radiation & Wireless program, Marcia is taking legal action under the Americans with Disabilities Act, demanding reasonable accommodations and policy changes from the companies operating the tower. Her case is part of a growing wave of lawsuits testing new legal avenues for people harmed by RF radiation and exposing the false narrative that wireless radiation is “safe.”

This report examines Marcia’s story, the severe health impacts linked to RF exposure, and the broader implications for public health, federal regulation, and legal accountability in protecting vulnerable individuals from wireless radiation.
