Fire report from USA  – On Monday May 20, 2024, a Panel of USA legal experts discussed risks associated with cell towers and wildfires. They claim ‘new scientific findings are uncovering unique wildfire risks associated with the proliferation of wireless small cell and macro towers, smart meters and other IoT devices. At the same time, empowered local communities are innovating to address these grave risks. This is a foreseeable and avoidable catastrophe. It is also a matter of profound social and environmental justice and basic human rights.’  https://www.radiationresearch.org/news/phone-mast-fire-hazards/?

Message below from Susan Foster Medical Writer, USA Advisor for the EM Radiation Research Trust, Honorary Firefighter San Diego Fire Department

“I was honored to be part of the USA panel in May 2024 that Eileen OConnor references. I spoke on telecommunication fires (link on post above). When you see a fire higher on the mast near the antenna or even at the base where ancillary telecommunications equipment may be placed, this is an electrical fire. Electrical fires cannot be extinguished through conventional means (water suppression) until the grid has been cut. In the meantime, the fire can spread, depending on weather conditions. As the US Advisor to the EM Radiation Research Trust, I would ask that you please send Eileen OConnor photographs of other mast fires with location and date of fire, and we will attempt to obtain the fire incident reports from the authorities. Thank you. Susan Foster”

17 April, 2020 5G protestors NOT to blame for fire, say police – NZ Herald  –  👉    Police have now confirmed a preliminary finding that an April 9 transmission tower fire in Porirua was caused by a fault. At the time, many in the telco industry thought anti-5G protestors – fuelled by a new conspiracy theory which blames the mobile network technology for Covid-19 – were to blame for the blaze, which took out Kordia TV transmission gear, and badly damaged 2degrees equipment. But a police spokeswoman told the Herald this morning: “There were no suspicious circumstances around the fire. A FENZ [Fire and Emergency] investigation has determined the fire was caused by an electrical fault.”  https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/5g-protestors-not-to-blame-for-fire-say-police/SILK2SLOURKW67KMDKN2DM3XMU/?c_id=3&objectid=12325468

Sat Apr 04 2020 Belfast phone mast hit by arson after claims over 5G link to coronavirus ‘Three recent mobile phone mast fires around the UK are being investigated as possible arsons, amid concerns that people are attacking telecoms infrastructure because of a conspiracy theory linking 5G technology to the spread of coronavirus. The mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, also revealed he had received threats relating to the “bizarre” theory, which has gained traction on social media. On Thursday, police in Belfast appealed for information after a mobile phone mast was damaged in an arson attack, with online footage suggesting the motive was opposition to 5G networks.’ 👉 https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/uk/belfast-phone-mast-hit-by-arson-after-claims-over-5g-link-to-coronavirus-1.4221203

4 April 2020 Mast fire probe amid 5G coronavirus claims – There have been fires at masts in Birmingham, Liverpool and Melling in Merseyside.   ‘Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said it is also investigating a blaze it extinguished at a 5G mast in the village of Melling, north of Liverpool, on Friday night. West Midlands Fire Service said the fire in Birmingham involved a 70ft tower on a telecommunications site. However, it said the cause was yet to be identified and it could not confirm the mast was 5G. A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We’re aware of a fire involving a phone mast, but are awaiting further details on its cause.” 👉 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-52164358
