Happy New Year!
As we welcome 2026, we want to celebrate our amazing community. We have now reached 7,500 followers via our facebook page. Your support, views, and engagement make all our work worthwhile and inspire us to continue raising awareness about decades of scientific research and community observations documenting biological and environmental effects associated with wireless radiation, including mobile networks from 1G to 5G and the forthcoming 6G.
The Radiation Research Trust (RRT) is dedicated to sharing evidence-based information, supporting independent scientific research, and engaging with policymakers on the safety of mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart meters, all generations of mobile networks from 1G to 5G, the forthcoming 6G, and other sources of electromagnetic fields.
Current UK regulations set exposure guidelines that focus primarily on thermal heating effects. Independent research has reported non-thermal biological effects associated with electromagnetic fields. Studies have observed changes in cellular activity, gene expression, oxidative stress markers, and neurological responses under exposure conditions that do not produce significant heating. Research has also explored mechanisms such as human magnetoreception, which may help explain why some individuals report electromagnetic hypersensitivity. For example, recent work by Henshaw and Philips in 2025 explores mechanisms of human magnetoreception and supports the validity of electromagnetic hypersensitivity. You can read the study here.
Beyond human health, there is ongoing scientific discussion about the potential effects of electromagnetic fields on birds, bees, wildlife, and ecosystems. The RRT encourages the application of the precautionary principle and promotes practices aimed at reducing exposure in schools, workplaces, homes, and natural environments.
With your support, we continue to share credible scientific evidence, raise awareness, and contribute to discussion about electromagnetic field exposure. Thank you to all our followers and supporters. Your engagement makes this work possible. We wish you a safe, healthy, and EMF-informed 2026. π
